Meet Minister Barbara

I am very passionate about helping others grow in their faith!

I have been in church my entire life, but at the age of 20, I began to sense that there was more to knowing God than what I had experienced. I knew Bible stories, and I knew all the right things to say and do, but I felt like there was a deeper place in God that I needed to experience.

God led me to a new church that had a vibrant young adult ministry and for the next 3 years, I attended Bible studies several times a week and young adult retreats every semester. It was during this time that God taught me how to truly connect with Him through Bible study, prayer, worship, and service.

A few years later, after graduating from college (Go Gators!🐊) and moving back to my hometown, I accepted the call to ministry at the age of 24. Because of the impact that home Bible studies had on my spiritual growth, I began teaching Bible studies at my home and my local church.

It wasn't long before my gift and passion for helping others grow in their faith began to emerge.

Since that time, I have led several ministries at my local church where I have served for 20 years. I was licensed as a minister in 2017 and I currently serve as the Intercessory Prayer Team Leader and the Adult Education Director.

In 2014, while working in my first full-time ministry position as  a Discipleship Coordinator, God began to give me greater clarity about how He wanted me to use my gifts. Shortly after, I launched a blog called organized Truth where I would share devotionals.

In 2018 I changed the name of the ministry to Milk To Meat and began teaching Bible studies online. After, a one year hiatus, I relaunched Milk To Meat in September of 2021 with the Sharpen Your Sword Bible Reading Challenge followed Milk to Meat Academy, my 12-month mentoship program. The community enjoyed meeting together so much that the Awaken The Warrior Broadcast was birthed and we have been meeting together weekly ever since!
